Governments worldwide are stimulating the production of sustainable energy and the application of energy saving measures to reduce greenhouse emissions. Technological advances in sustainable energy are being made in leaps and bounds, resulting in increasing energy efficiency.

 

Ameco and her partners support the introduction and demonstration of sustainable energy solutions. For example, in the field of bio-gas a lot of work is being done around the production of fuel from biomass and the generation of electricity from gases extracted from landfills. Ameco and her partners established a company in Africa that distributes solar panels in rural areas. Ameco is also actively involved in the application of energy-efficiency measures in waste water treatment.

 

Awareness-raising on energy-efficiency amongst consumers of natural resources and governments responsible for policy constitute key activities at Ameco, as well as the actual development and implementation of policies on energy efficiency.
