De impact van nieuwe technologieën op ons dagelijkse leven wordt steeds groter: meer en meer nieuwe producten komen op onze markt terecht. Hoe verschillen deze van traditionele producten? Vormen ze een potentieel risico voor onze gezondheid of voor het milieu? Hoe ontwikkelen we hier passend beleid op? En op welke manier dient de samenleving te worden geïnformeerd?Lastige vragen waar de overheid, maar vooral ook de burger zich mee bezig houdt en waar rationele afwegingen het vaak moeten afleggen tegen emoties.

 

Ondersteuning hierbij door het aandragen van doordachte interpretaties en pragmatische oplossingen tussen beleid en praktijk is waar Ameco goed in is. Daarbij combineren we inhoudelijke kennis met een brede kennis van beleidsprocessen en kennis van de maatschappelijke processen rond heikele thema’s. Voorbeelden van dergelijke thema’s zijn genetische modificatie, nanotechnologie en de aanleg van UMTS-masten.
