Afval
‘Afval is geld’ is een vaak gehoorde leus. In veel ontwikkelde landen klopt dit. Echter, in de landen waar wij actief zijn is afval vooral een groot milieuprobleem. En het aanpakken van dit probleem kost in eerste instantie meer dan dat het oplevert. Het ondersteunen van overheden en bedrijfsleven op het gebied van dit uitdagende vraagstuk behoort tot de kernactiviteiten van Ameco. Beleidsontwikkeling en de doelmatige en institutionele implementatie van duurzaam afvalbeleid vormen daarin de essentie, zowel op nationaal als regionaal niveau. Hierbij krijgen in de uitvoering niet alleen de institutionele componenten vorm, maar er wordt ook praktische ervaring opgedaan betreffende het ontwikkelen van kleinschalige projecten waarbij NGO's en burgers.
