Participatie en dialoog
Ontspoorde bijeenkomsten tussen enerzijds overheden en anderzijds burgers en belangenorganisaties bieden vaak een aardig schouwspel: emoties lopen hoog op, mensen praten langs elkaar heen en men reageert nauwelijks op elkaars argumenten. Voer voor stevige artikelen in de plaatselijke krant, maar meestal weinig bijdragend aan een betere besluitvorming. En juist dat is de essentie van dergelijke bijeenkomsten. Zij vormen een belangrijk onderdeel van het publieke participatieproces: de mogelijkheid bieden om burgers en organisaties mee te laten denken en invloed uit te laten oefenen op plannen van de overheid.
In dit krachtenveld versterkt Ameco de capaciteit van lokale, regionale en nationale overheden voor het organiseren en implementeren van inspraakprocessen; en de capaciteit NGO’s voor het constructief lobbyen richting deze overheden. Hierbij wordt het gehele traject van planontwikkeling tot definitieve besluitvorming doorlopen. Daarnaast biedt Ameco ondersteuning bij het daadwerkelijk uitvoeren van participatieprocessen.
